Katie & Erik Fairfield Wedding

Katie and Erik like to take it easy, except when they are hiking 14,000 ft peaks and Erik is off running marathons. These two do life together, along with their faithful puppies. When their wedding day rolled around, it looked like the rain was going to hold off and everything would be easy breezy. Did it? Not really. Did it seem to bother Katie or Erik? Not nearly!

Getting ready at EVEN Hotel in Norwalk CT, Katie and her girls lounged with mimosas, the smell of hairspray, and so many laughs. Erik quietly tied his tie and made sure his suit was pressed. Following an intimate courtyard first look, they headed to the beach to tie the knot.

A quick rain shower pushed them inside the Jacky Durrell Pavilion at Penfield Beach, where friends and family eagerly awaited the ceremony. A short ceremony, featuring readings from loved guests, and Katie and Erik were married! As they recessed, the rain stopped and they ran to take photos under the arbor that had been the original ceremony site at the beach. Smiles, jokes, and happy faces were everywhere.

DJ Peter G started spinning tunes during cocktail hour, catered by Michele Torres of Harborview Market in Bridgeport CT. The scene was casual and happy, so fitting for Katie and Erik. As their bridal party danced their way into the reception, everyone jumped to their feet when Katie and Erik entered the room. They danced, they were toasted, Katie and her dad shared a special dance, complete with a dance party break down.

Once the lights were turned low, the music picked up and the party was rocking. Katie hit the dance floor with her closest friends, waving glowing light sticks and working up a sweat. The evening ended with cutting the cake from the Pantry in Fairfield CT. Congrats Katie and Erik, you are so loved!
